Dig It - 9/26/24

Hello once again Fellow Seekers. It is time for another Earth Shattering Adventure as we delve into the exciting world of antique Native American art. This ingot bracelet was probably made by the Navajo sometime between 1910 and the 1930s. It has serrated bezels, which are an early trait, and most of the stones are probably commercially cut and polished cabochons. By the early 20th century, a number of trading posts were supplying Navajo silversmiths with precut stones.

The bracelet has good weight, and I especially like how the stones have taken on varying shades, from a light robin’s egg blue to a dark blue/green. The bracelet is 5.5” from terminal to terminal with a 1.25” gap. This bracelet is for sale. So visit Old Lonesome in cyberspace and get yourself a beautiful piece! You will be the envy of all your friends and neighbors. Adios, Lonesome
