Dig This Fellow Seekers!

This the earliest Zuni multi stone bracelet I am aware of. I bought and sold this piece over twenty years ago when I acquired a little collection of early Zuni jewelry. Besides the bracelet, there were four hellacious multi-stone rings, some of which sold again not too long ago at auction for hellacious prices.

My thought is that this bracelet dates to the early 20th century, maybe 1910 to 1920. The bracelet is ingot and spit into three bands with a chisel. It is decorated with just two simple stamps, a circle and a rayed crescent. All the stones are hand cut and mounted with homemade bezels, using drippy solder. There is something really powerful about this bracelet. It may be a little rough on the first impression, but it has a more whimsical nature at second glance. It is a beautiful piece and an important addition to any Great Collection. This bracelet is for sale. The inside measures 5.5” end to end with a 1” gap between terminals.
