Pair of Central Plains Dolls

Pair of Central Plains Dolls

$0.00

Late 19th to Early 20th Century
Height:13.5”

I believe most Plains dolls were probably made in pairs. The female doll was probably given to a girl and the male to a boy. Since boys tend to be rougher fewer male dolls survive. This is just a guess on my part, but male dolls are rare and pairs are even rarer. These are wonderful dolls and wonderful examples of Cheyenne or Lakota costume at the turn of the 19th/20th century.
