Well, let’s see here, Fellow Seekers. We’ve got a pretty fabulous necklace here. My guess is that it might have been made by a Pueblo silversmith. I base this hunch on the fact that the Naja has a rain cloud stamped on it. Rain cloud designs are more prevalent amongst the Pueblos, who are traditionally, primarily farmers. Whereas the Navajos were primarily herders, though they did grow some crops. The necklace dates to the early 20th century. It has nice, thick filed tabs on the squash blossoms and good, heavy handmade beads. The necklace has a real balance and beauty, with the turquoise giving the Naja a real pop of color. "Unusual" and "beautiful" are two terms that indicate a great piece of Native American jewelry. This necklace is for sale, and I don’t think you will find another like it. -Lonesome
