Dig It - 8/22/25
Hey Seekers, I finally found an early Navajo silver bangle, and it has been a mighty long and difficult search. I have been hunting for over ten years, and I've had a lot of fun and a lot of disappointment. So many times have I heard, “Oh, I just had one” or “I just sold one last week.” It can get mighty discouraging out there, and of course most of them was lying. Such are the trials and tribulations of being a dealer. Anyway, this is the real deal. It came out of Jay Evetts's collection, and that is about as good as it gets.
This bangle was made between 1860 and 1880, with just simple file work decoration, most of which has worn away from use and polishing. The bangle has such a purity and a clean look, one could call it the Zen of Navajo jewelry. It measures slightly over 5” from terminal to terminal with a 1” gap. If this is something you are looking for, I’ve got it. And at least at the time I am writing this, it is for sale. -Lonesome.
