Wee doggy! Fellow Seekers, I just love that Blue Gem turquoise! I’m pretty sure that’s what we’ve got here. Great stuff! The blues and greens, with that really hard, shiny surface of gem- quality turquoise. The mine was opened in 1934 by the Copper Canyon Mining Co. near Battle Mountain, Nevada. The mine was 800 ft. deep, which accounts for the hardness of the turquoise, and was mined on and off till the 1970s. However, the turquoise had started to peter out by the 1960s. Because “Blue Gem” was so high in quality and expensive, it was reserved for the very best Silversmiths. I have seen other bracelets by this same smith, or group of smiths, with “Blue Gem” mounted in those extremely well-crafted, delicate bezels. This bracelet is beauty and quality combined, in short, The Best. It is 6” from terminal to terminal, with a 1 3/8th” gap. It is for sale! -Lonesome
