Dig It - 9/22/23

Okay Fellow Seekers, today we are going to deal with a most Unusual Doll. It was made by Native Americans in the Late 19th Century, but Who?

I have seen two other dolls by the same Maker, one was in Forrest Fenn’s collection and the other was in a famous New York City collection. Both were extra large like this one (22” tall), had a beaded vest with plain hide sleeves and lots and lots of drippy accoutrements. This doll has incredible beaded banded leggings. She also has beaded soles on her moccasins, which is kind of a Lakota thing. Well Fellow Seekers, she is a pretty wonderful thing and needs a new home. All the Best!  -Lonesome.
