Dig It - 8/24/23

Well Fellow Seekers, I have always loved Pueblo Pottery, going back to my days as an Archaeologist. This pot is Hopi and is a Hano Polychrome, which is a 15th-16th Hopi pottery design style revived by a Hopi potter named Nampeyo in the late 19th century. This wonderful masterpiece of a pot probably dates to the early 20th century, say the 1920s or 1930s. I believe it was made by one of two potters, either Sadie Adams (1905-1995) or Myrtle Young who died in 1984. The pot is not signed so this is a guess based on style. If anyone has more information please let me know. It is available for purchase. Adios! - Lonesome
