Dig It - 7/13/23

Well Fellow Seekers, today we are going to look at a simple silver bracelet. Over the years, I have seen a number of simple silver bracelets and they are almost always impossible to date. This one is an exception. It was collected in the early 1920s and has a fair amount of wear on it, so I am guessing 1890 - 1910. It is ingot and fairly heavy, so I believe it was made for Native consumption. A cool detail are little serrated stamped figures. They remind me of centipedes or maybe the flint armor worn by the Navajo Twins in sand paintings. This bracelet is currently for sale and fits a small ladies’ wrist. That’s it for now, Yippee Tie One on!  -Lonesome
