Dig It - 10/5/23

Seekers, this is a late 19th century, or very early 20th Century Hopi Kachina. He is 9.4” tall and, because of his substantial girth, is an imposing fellow. He appears to be decorated with all mineral pigments, which argues for the earlier, late 19th century date. He is Homsona, a Racer kachina, both a Messenger and a Warrior. This is a wonderful kachina, worthy of any collection, one of the better things I found this summer. Yippie Tie One On Fellow Seekers, I’ll See You In That Big Corral In The Sky. -Lonesome
