Dig it - 11/3/22

Howdy Pilgrim, Now don’t be shy, pull up a piece of ground and join Old Lonesome and some of my Fellow Seekers here by the campfire. We’re burning dry gambel oak tonight so there ain’t much smoke but plenty of heat. You know winter's a coming and these old bones kind of creak and ache when it gets cold.

So, I was a just telling these Seekers here a Story about the Wild West Trader Days. The days when Notorious Outlaw traders like Trophy Hunter Ward, Silent Jay Evetts and Front Range Bob, lived and traded throughout this land. They were larger than life. Those were the days of the wild and free traders. Grim men daring to take a chance on the treasures they found, hoping it was worth a little more than what they paid. They was tough. And they was ornery. But they was brave; willing to search the Earth for that last great piece of old Navajo silver. They put some miles on their trusty steeds. And Pilgrim, they knew a thing or two. Why I remember when Old Lonesome was with Ward on the Chama, he had just found a cache of great old silver, when this here…
