Kiowa
Circa 1860-1880
This bag is unusual in it’s designs and the choice of “white heart red” beads as a background
instead of the more typical “cranberry” red beads favored by the Kiowa. The bag was created
by a true artist and rebel not just a crafts person. This piece is more art than artifact.
