Dig It - 7/6/26

Hey Fellow Seekers, there is only one word for this bracelet, and that is "Baroque." This bracelet probably dates between 1910 and 1930. It is obvious that this silversmith had access to a few more tools and techniques than he would have had in the earliest period of 1880 to 1910. What a wonderful exuberance of design with the silver curly cues, twisted wire, and balls. The stones are a marvelous green/blue, and I believe they are native-cut American turquoise. My god, it is a sight to behold.

There is a very similar bracelet, quite possibly by the same silversmith, on display at the Wheelwright Museum here in Santa Fe. Well Seekers, this one is in the past tense file, so it's not for sale. I wish I still had this and many other bracelets from my past. I thought you might enjoy the photo. See you down the road as I search for fresh treasure! Lonesome
