Hey there Fellow Seekers. When I was a kid in the late 1960s and early '70s, you used to see these multi-stone pins all over the Navajo Reservation. This style of pin would have been proudly worn on women's velveteen blouses. I think they go back to the 1940s, perhaps a little earlier. I have to believe they are somehow connected with Zuni silversmithing since the multi-stone work is usually associated with that Pueblo. Even though these pins may have originated at Zuni, they were certainly made in vast quantities by the Navajo. I recently found this one in an old bag of odds and ends. What a lucky find, and thank God I looked before I threw the bag out. I remember buying this one from Bob and Jay back in the late 1980s. I bought 8 or 9 pins to do a display for an ad. Somehow this one, which may have been the best, got separated. Well Seekers, though it reminds me of better days, it is for sale. -Lonesome
