Dig It - 1/5/26

Hello again Fellow Seekers. Today we are going to look at a pair of fabulous earrings, you know, those sparkly things that hang from your earlobes. This pair came from Lynn Truesdell’s collection. I knew Lynn back in the day and have to say she was not the easiest person to deal with, but she did have a good eye and amassed a fabulous collection.

I picked these earrings for the first week of the New Year because the pomegranates/squash blossoms remind me of bells, and the bells should be tolling to welcome in the New Year! I think these earrings may have had two separate lives joined together. My guess is that the blossoms may have come first (late 19th century?) and the stone studs were made later in the early 20th century. The wires are thick, so I do think this combo was probably joined by a Native American, but who knows? Anyway, the result is spectacular. All the best in 2026. Lonesome
