The Start of a Journey

Well Fellow Seekers, you have to start somewhere. I realize Old Lonesome has been featuring some pretty High Falutin bracelets, that are pretty expensive, so I’m going to Illustrate some examples of ingot bracelets from the 1920s to 1940s that are beautiful and affordable. I remember when I had little money and cleaned apartments and toilets to make ends meet, so I get it.

Actually, the 1920s to the 1940s was when Native silversmiths had access to better technology and especially great turquoise. Every collection is a journey. And every journey has to have a start. And if that Journey is collecting Native American “pawn” or older jewelry, these two “Row” bracelets would be a great start.

The top bracelet is ingot silver with seven beautiful stones, and the sides and terminals are decorated with diagonal filed grooves. It is just under 5.5” from terminal to terminal with a 1" gap. It is priced at $1,550.

The bottom bracelet has 13 stones and is 5.75” from terminal to terminal with a 1" gap and is $1,250. You know, Old lonesome could open up one of the bracelets so you could stack them and I could give you a better price on the two. Well Seekers, these are a couple of suggestions for a place to start collecting older Native American jewelry. More to follow. Lonesome
