Dig It - 10/23/25

Hello again Fellow Seekers, today we have a special treat; we are looking at a “flat top” bangle. Now I have always loved these and have always associated them with Pueblo silversmiths. Now I do not know if that attribution is correct, but when I used to see them more frequently, they were usually collected from the Pueblos. It has been a long time since I have seen one for sale, and this is probably the first one I have had in ten years. I think this one dates to the late 19th or early 20th century, as do most of them, and was probably made exclusively for Native use. It is too simple in design for Euro-American taste. But I love them! A single bangle or a stack of them is the height of “Studied Nonchalance,” as my wife would say. This one is for sale and will transform the wearer into the ultimate, understated hipster. See you on down the trail. Lonesome
