Dig It - 7/4/24

Hey Fellow Seekers, this here pouch is in Frank and Holbrook, "Indian Silver Jewelry Of The Southwest, 1868-1930" which I bought back in 1979 in the bookstore of The Museum Of The American Indian, located at Broadway and 155th Street, New York City. It became my Bible.

The Pouch is illustrated on page 168, figure 208, and once belonged to Skip Holbrook, an old friend and mentor. These Men’s Pouches or “Singers pouches” used to be easy to find. I remember when “Traditional” Navajo men still wore them and I bought every one that came my way. But, just like everything else, they have gotten harder to find. Well Fellow Seekers, I guess that means Old Lonesome just has to hunt harder. I will say that finding one these days is much more appreciated. Keep Seeking - Lonesome, Out!
