Dig it - 5/6/24
Well Hello Fellow Seekers! This is a collection of Navajo children’s bracelets that I put together many years ago. In fact, it took me a long time, at least 20 years, to gather all these which date from the late 19th Century to the 1930s. I tell you there were some amazing pieces in the group!
Jewelry is usually associated with adults who have had time to earn and accumulate wealth and status. But the Navajo love their children and, at least in these cases, were able to give them jewelry to wear on special occasions. I guess if the children have beautiful jewelry, it reflects well back on the family. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and took a lot of patience to put together this collection which has long since been dispersed. That about wraps it up Fellow Seekers. Yippee Tie One on! -Lonesome
