Dig It - 2/5/24

Well Hello Fellow Seekers, today we are going to look a little Plateau “Flat Bag” with the image of a Tipi beaded on it. The design work on the tipi is very specific, two red bands, then concentric arches and finally polka dots at the base. This has to represent a specific tipi and a specific owner, who probably owned the pattern of that design. This bag was made sometime around the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries. More than likely, it was made for the owner, or a relative of the owner of that specific tipi design. I’m sure it was a reminder of the “Good Old Days” - which were rarely as good as the memories they evoke. Now, I have to remember where I left my dag-gone ornery Mule and get on down the trail. Oh, and I forgot to mention the bag is for sale. Adios, -Lonesome.
