Howdy Fellow Seekers,

We can File this Bracelet under Filed, because that is what it is. One might even say it is groovy. It is ingot silver with a beautiful green stone, hand-made bezel and drippy solder. I have had some problems dating this bracelet. File decoration is typically found on early bracelets, the file being one of the first tools used by Navajo silversmiths. Now I don’t mean to imply that files weren’t used later, they are still a very important tool for silversmiths. My thinking is that most later bracelets would have a lot of other things going on like stamps and applied silver etc.

The simplicity and purity of design makes me think that this bracelet is at least early 20th Century. It is 5.5” on the inside terminal to terminal with a 1” gap between terminals and is currently for sale.
