Dig It - 1/23/23
422, that must be a collection number, but it does look a little like a placard for a Mug Shot. This doll is 13” tall and all original. I have identified her as Central Plains. She is probably Lakota, just because they were by far the largest tribe on the Central Plains, but she does have some Cheyenne features, such as her moccasins. One very interesting feature is the horse track on the front of her dress. I do not know the significance of the symbol. All said and done she is a truly marvelous doll with lots of personality, a real Gal's Gal. She is for sale now.
